ASBPE DC Event: Get Your Book Idea Published

Have you been mulling an idea for a book? As veteran business and association publication editors and writers, you're well placed to translate complex topics into high-interest reading for a wide audience. In an exclusive event by the D.C. chapter of the American Society of Business Publication Editors, meet with two recently published authors and a literary agent for a relaxed discussion on what it takes to turn your ideas into book deals today.

1. Working with scholarly book publishers:
Roy J. Harris Jr., author, Pulitzer's Gold (University of Missouri Press: 2008)
Roy also is senior editor at CFO Magazine in Boston, published by the Economist Group, and is immediate past president of ASBPE National.

2. Working with business book publishers:
Robert Freedman, author, How to Make Real Money in Second Life (McGraw-Hill: 2008) and editor, Broker to Broker (John A. Wylie & Sons: 2006)
Rob also is senior editor at Realtor Magazine in Washington, published by the National Association of Realtors, and is a past president of ASBPE national.

3. Working with children's and young adult book publishers:
Sarah Davies, literary agent, Greenhouse Literary (London and Washington, D.C.)
